This quote by self-help author Napoleon Hill is a perfectly appropriate mantra for staying positive despite the personal and professional challenges we have endured in 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic has taken thousands of lives, crippled and closed small businesses, robbed workers of their livelihood, and warped our daily routines. As 2021 approaches, we look forward to a safe vaccine and hope that our lives can once again return to “normal.”
Amid all of this fear, loss and uncertainty, Larry and David Zogby, our leaders at RDS Same Day Delivery, are focusing on their feelings of empathy and gratitude. They are thankful for their families, teammates, customers, friends, peers and business partners for their myriad efforts to support RDS during the past year. Without them, RDS would have been unable to provide the much-needed deliveries of hot meals, personal protective equipment and other essential supplies that kept people safe and productive during these difficult times.
The Zogby brothers are looking forward to 2021 with hope, optimism, courage and strength. Together with their support system, they are eager to continue seizing opportunities that help serve their community and their customers.
Laughter Was on the Menu at an RDS Thanksgiving
The RDS team gets together several times throughout the year to celebrate with food, fun and games. Holiday gatherings are always an extra special opportunity we cherish. This year for Thanksgiving, our administrative team served our couriers to-go turkey lunches with goodies and surprises, and then our office staff shared a meal. Everyone enjoyed the delicious food and each other’s company.

Chocolate Shop Keeps Tradition Alive
Imagine how sweet a chocolate treat would taste when you’re a frontline worker feeling exhausted and overwhelmed by your life-saving work. Aigner Chocolates in NYC made those heroes’ hard days a little brighter by donating almost $10,000 worth of chocolate during the height of the pandemic. It was one way that shop co-owners Mark Libertini and Rachel Kellner showed gratitude to their landlords and original chocolate shop founders, the Aigner family, for their kindness, generosity and flexibility that allowed them to keep Aigner Chocolates open this year.
The neighborhood institution has been making and selling handcrafted chocolate and confections in NYC since 1930. In 2015, Libertini and Kellner, husband and wife, became the third family to use antique equipment and recipes passed down through the generations to make their chocolate.
