World Records
Help set a world record while honoring a 9/11 hero! On July 16 in Central Park, RDS will help the community honor Sept. 11 hero Welles Crowther (a.k.a. The Man in the Red Bandana) by trying to set a world record of the longest chain of red bandanas tied end-to-end. Crowther, an equities trader, died in the 9/11 terrorist attacks while saving others. Is anything more soothing on a balmy summer night than soulful jazz music? Join fellow music lovers July 17-26 on the Upper East Side for the 92Y Jazz in July Festival. This year’s event kicks off with a nod to the Prohibition era and celebrates the works of Leonard Bernstein and Dizzy Gillespie!
